Business Banking is currently seeking a Business Banking Advisor for its Central Team, specifically the Post-Credit Fulfilment Team. The core functions of this team include the preparation of credit facility agreements, instruction of legal and valuation firms, satisfaction of conditions and completion of drawdown prior to making facilities available. Business Banking Central Teams support the business lending activities of regional teams and retail branches. Key activities may also include financial statement extracts, credit assessment reports, credit facility agreements, drawdown checklists and annual facility reviews. Other activities include risk and control management and the active engagement of customers, colleagues, professional firms, and other stakeholders. As a Business Banking Advisor, you will report to a manager or Specialist. Your internal stakeholders will include regional teams, retail branches, retail credit centre, mortgage operations and legal department. Your external stakeholders will include customers and professional service.
Responsibilities
Preparing credit facility agreements and related security documents.
Instructing professional firms on legal and valuation panels.
Completing drawdown checklists to ensure pre-conditions are met.
Analysing the financial statements of business customers.
Monitoring large exposures to identify any increased credit risk.
Completing key activities in a timely, accurate and complete manner.
Adhering to policies and procedures, notably business lending policies.
Complying with external obligations, notably SME Lending Regulations.
Requirements
Essential
Knowledge of SME lending products, markets, and regulations.
Knowledge of credit documentation, including security for advances.
Desired
Proven track record in a similar role and passion for business banking.
Third level qualification in a related discipline, e.g. business or finance.
Experience communicating and collaborating across business functions.
Contract
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, based in PTSB Head Office, St. Stephens Green, Dublin. Hybrid options available with Republic of Ireland only.
