Program Manager
Location: Cork, Ireland
Remote Work: 30% of the total days/hours worked will be remote.
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager. The successful candidate will plan and direct interrelated projects, ensuring that programs deliver business benefits. This role is responsible for the realization of the intended outcomes and value of the program.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Design & Management: Design projects to deliver required outputs, manage costs, and ensure business benefits are achieved.
* Risk Management: Identify project delivery risks and propose mitigations.
* Leadership: Manage project managers and utilize steering boards for decision-making.
* Governance: Represent the program to senior governance bodies and ensure compliance with standards and procedures.
* Documentation & Tracking: Ensure all program-related risks, issues, actions, costs, schedules, and benefits are documented and tracked.
* Program Closure: Ensure the program closes according to required procedures.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Resource/Forecast Management: Manage the Capacity Management tool, analyze forecast data, and propose solutions.
* Budget Planning: Assist in budget planning, including internal/external hours allocation and SOWs.
* Reconciliation & Reporting: Drive monthly reconciliation, analyze variances, and provide comments on deviations.
* Finance Point of Contact: Act as a finance point of contact for the Project Management and Project Office team.
* Solution Proposals: Understand the current finance situation and propose improvements.
* Communication: Communicate clearly and confidently at all levels within the organization.
Mandatory Skills & Experiences:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
* Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
* Technical Skills: Excellent knowledge of Excel; knowledge of PowerBI is a plus.
* Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
* Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
* Multitasking: Ability to work on several tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
* IT Project Management: Basic familiarity with IT Project Management; experience as a Finance Business Partner to IT is desirable.
Experience & Skills Required:
* Experience: 10+ years in managing large-scale, complex projects/programs, with experience in leading transformation programs and P&L accountability.
* Financial Skills: Experience in developing and tracking complex financial business cases and negotiating commercially valuable outcomes.
* Industry Knowledge: Relevant experience in the financial services industry.
* Leadership & Mentoring: Proven experience in mentoring and coaching teams.
* Communication: Ability to effectively communicate with and influence diverse stakeholders.
