The Greystones Family Resource Centre is seeking a Director with legal experience
The Greystones Family Resource Centre, otherwise known as the Greystones Peoples Project, (Charity number 20051327), provides community supports, family supports, low-cost counselling and play therapy to adults and children in the North East Wicklow area. It was established around 2002 and has a dedicated and voluntary Board of Management from the community, who bring a variety of expertise to the organisation.
The GRFC is mainly funded by Tusla, and is part of the National Family Resource Centres framework. It functions as an independent Board.
It provides supports to families of the local community facing challenges and disadvantage. The programmes aim to combat disadvantage and improve the functioning of the family unit. It supports community development and integration with a variety of programmes.
It adopts an ethos of equality and social justice, encouraging the involvement of local people to identify needs and ensure needs-based responses. The GFRC works with a variety of statutory agencies and organisations from the community and voluntary sector locally, across Wicklow and nationally.
We are currently seeking a Board Director with legal experience.
Board experience desirable.
