The role
Support Worker – Residential and Respite Service
We are looking for a Support Worker within our Residential and Respite Service. The successful candidates will maintain the highest attainable standards of person-centered care to promote optimum independence and choice, and to enhance the quality of life of the Service User in all aspects of daily living within a regulated framework.
The role is 35 hours per week on a rolling roster, including live waking night duties or sleepovers.
Responsibilities
Maintain high standards of person-centered care.
Promote optimum independence and choice for service users.
Enhance the quality of life of service users in all aspects of daily living.
Assist and cooperate in the smooth running of the assigned area.
Participate in residential and respite service operations.
Qualifications
Minimum FETAC Level 5 in Social Care, Special Needs, Healthcare or a related discipline.
Experience working with persons with an Intellectual Disability.
Knowledge of the residential, social and recreational needs of persons with an Intellectual Disability.
Experience in advocacy and individual personal plans/person-centered planning.
Full clean driving licence and willingness to drive as part of the role.
Competencies as per the Job Description & Person Specification.
