Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our organization in Galway. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and reports to the Commercial Manager, identifying contractual grounds for claims, and negotiating with subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
* Advise and report regularly to Commercial Manager on project progress and financial matters.
* Provide guidance on contractual matters at both general and project levels.
* Identify potential contractual disputes and negotiate resolutions.
* Negotiate terms and conditions with subcontractors.
* Ensure timely closure of final accounts.
* Investigate losses and identify areas for improvement.
* Negotiate prices and terms with subcontractors and suppliers.
* Prepare and review documents related to subcontractors and suppliers.
* Compile and review monthly cost reports.
* Review and update risk registers, variation trackers, and extension of time tracker sheets.
Requirements
* Hold a professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
* possess at least 2 years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor role on construction projects.
* Develop strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and client representatives while on site.
* Demonstrate effective time management skills and ability to work efficiently on large-scale construction projects.
