Social Care Leader (with PIC responsibilities) Permanent, Fulltime (39 hours per week) contract Location: Co. Kildare SOCIAL CARE MANAGER 1 Salary Scale €55,793 to €65,155 annually, depending on experience Under the management and guidance of the Operations Manager, the Social Care Leader (SCL) role will provide leadership and management in the provision of services and supports. The successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision of staff teams ensure individuals are respected, treated with dignity, and supported to make personal choices and decisions on a daily basis. Responsibilities Play an active role in the co-ordination and completion of Assessment of Need for Service Users Ensure that each Service user has an Individual Support Plan developed, focusing on supporting independence, ensuring that goals and objectives are met Promote teamwork and effective communication within the team Be familiar with policies and procedures in relation to the Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults and Childrens First / Child Protection Maintain all necessary records in accordance with Kares managing records policy Ensure that all HIQA notifications are recorded and submitted in a timely manner to HIQA Work in conjunction with other Departments/Managers to develop and enhance the service Work in partnership with the Operations Manager to ensure that services are delivered in accordance with the agreed budget Implement and participate in Kares Performance Management System Participation in the provision of Kares Out of Hours On-Call service on a rostered basis Requirements Have a comparable qualification recognised by the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU A minimum of 3 years experience as relevant to the role Essential: Must provide proof of current CORU-Social Care Worker registration OR proof of eligibility to register Essential: A qualification in a relevant management course Essential: Must have a full, valid drivers licence and access to your own vehicle as travel will be required between Kare locations. Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and standards, and experience of working in a Designated Centre A thorough knowledge of individualised planning and a clear vision of how Kare should further develop to benefit the people who use our services The ability to support staff to carry out their work in a manner that is empowering to individuals Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people e.g., families, Kare teams and community personnel Excellent written & verbal communication skills and excellent administrative skills including a good working knowledge of computer programmes, e.g., Microsoft Office, TMS, online reporting data base Must be eligible to work in Ireland without sponsorship Benefits 30 days annual leave Paid Maternity/Paternity Leave (subject to service) Federation of Voluntary Bodies Pension Scheme: Employer 7% & Employee 5% contributions Optional Salary Protection Plan Rewarding work with flexible hours Employee Assistance Programme and local Employee Discounts Personal Development, Professional Growth and Career Progression Closing date for applications is 9th May.
