Role/Department:
The Tax Analyst in the Custody Tax Operations team plays a key role in international withholding tax processing. Reporting to the Team Leader, responsibilities include managing client tax documentation, accurately identifying opportunities to reduce withholding tax, and responding promptly to inquiries to enhance client service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Execute tasks assigned by the Team Manager and Team Leader.
* Process, scan, record, distribute, and file large volumes of documentation daily.
* Review colleagues' work.
* Provide training and control reporting as needed.
* Handle complex queries and escalate issues to specialists or regional tax teams.
* Respond to inquiries from clients, custodians, and Relationship Managers promptly and professionally.
* Collaborate with relevant contacts to provide excellent service, escalating issues appropriately.
* Maintain awareness of service level agreements.
* Consistently meet or exceed client expectations.
* Review processes to ensure efficiency and high standards.
Skills/Qualifications:
* Bright, articulate, and entrepreneurial with resilience and ability to work under pressure.
* Excellent client servicing and communication skills.
* Accurate with strong attention to detail.
* Numerically competent with problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Proficient in IT tools such as Adobe, Excel, MS Office, Word.
* Team player.
