Contract Duration: Permanent Position with 6 months probation period.

Role Summary
We are seeking a proactive, collaborative and motivated Research Technician to support in vitro and in vivo research activities of the Research and Innovation team.
This role contributes to the identification, development, and exploitation of novel bioactive compounds for improving health and wellbeing at all life stages.
Key Responsibilities include:
Support Researchers to deliver disruptive innovations.
Develop and perform biochemical, analytical, microbiological, cell‑based in‑vitro and ex‑vivo assays with ingredients and finished products.
Support animal maintenance and execution of animal studies when required, including sample collection and analysis.
Maintain data integrity and support data analyses.
Contribute to research dissemination activities including project reports, peer‑reviewed publications, popular articles, social media, and local and international conference presentations.
Support ordering of laboratory consumables and generation of project purchase orders.
Support Laboratory Manager with implementation of sustainable practices, SOPs, health and safety policies, and other duties.
Key Expertise and Skills
B.Sc. in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Health Science, Biomedical Sciences, Food Science or a related discipline; M.Sc. would be a distinct advantage.
Minimum of 3 years lab experience.
Background in biochemical, analytical, microbiological testing and functional food research.
Experience working with probiotics, pathogens, human cell culture and simulated digestion would be a distinct advantage.
Strong background in laboratory analytics and troubleshooting.
Proven track record in data analyses with competency in Microsoft Office and statistical tools (GraphPad, SPSS, Python).
Ability to work as part of a team, including consulting, collaborating, and building relationships with key partners.
Excellent organization, communication, collaboration, time management and motivation skills.
Other skills: flexible, proactive, and autonomous.
