The Opportunity
As the Technology Enablement Manager, you will lead a high performing team that shapes how emerging technologies are integrated into the electricity system.
Working within the Future Power Systems function, you'll drive innovation, influence strategy, and collaborate across industry to enable a smarter, more flexible and fully decarbonised grid.
This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who enjoys leading teams, solving complex challenges, and translating technical insight into real world impact.
What You'll Do:
Lead the evaluation and implementation of emerging technologies and innovative system practices
Shape technology enablement roadmaps and innovation processes
Provide insight into industry trends and their impact on the energy system
Build strong partnerships across operators, stakeholders and industry bodies
Represent the organisation externally in key forums and collaborations
Manage a portfolio of projects (resources, budgets, timelines, risk)
Foster a collaborative, high-performance and innovation-driven team culture
The successful candidate:
Degree in engineering, economics, mathematics or a related field, with 8+ years' relevant experience
Strong understanding of technology innovation and/or energy systems
Knowledge of energy system flexibility (e.g. storage, interconnection)
Proven leadership experience, including developing and supporting teams
Strong project/programme management
Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex ideas clearly
Ability to influence, collaborate and build consensus across stakeholders
Adaptable, solution-focused and comfortable in evolving environments
Confident decision-maker aligned to strategic objectives
