Job Title: Account Manager
Business Sector: Data Centre Solutions, Critical Environment
Location: Dublin, Ireland


Job Purpose

* To manage, motivate and develop the on-site Data Centre Critical Environment Operations team in a business critical 24/7/365 operating environment.
* To manage and develop a professional relationship with the local client to create a positive customer experience.
* To deliver a performance level which achieves and goes beyond the KPI’s and SLA’s set down in the contract with the client.


Job Summary

* Ensure all staff are in compliance with CBRE ethical, financial and QHSE requirements.
* Lead, motivate and develop the CBRE team on the site and ensure that culture and standards on the site align with CBRE’s.
* Provide leadership, management, and development of the contract, ensuring financial and operational commitments are met and exceeded.
* Responsible for all strategic and tactical aspects of FM and Critical Environment operations, including FM, electrical, mechanical, monitoring, control systems and Asset Management operations.
* Audit and monitor on‑site operations efficiency and develop efficiencies and innovations that benefit the client and CBRE.


Key Deliverables

* Provide leadership and guidance, including advice, review, leadership and direct contribution to management and team meetings, briefings, consultation forums, correspondence, publicity and reporting.
* Develop training and development plans for each member of the CBRE staff.
* Ensure basic training needs are delivered, employees are fully competent to undertake their roles and reach their full potential.
* Manage staff career progression and maintain a high-performing team.
* Implement effective systems to plan, manage and communicate work, measure performance and achieve service excellence.
* Manage annual contract budgets and accounts and provide statistical reporting.
* Coordinate cross‑disciplinary technical escalations and support business continuity plans.
* Ensure compliance with data centre operations, CBRE business policies and health & safety requirements.
* Ensure optimal staffing structures and support key performance indicators.
* Maintain effective relationships with key client contacts and deliver a strong customer focus.
* Plan and schedule maintenance subcontractor works and repairs and ensure contractual obligations are met.
* Promote and uphold CBRE core values.
* Provide client and internal presentations and manage ad‑hoc tasks as directed by senior management.

Person Specification

* Job Title: Account Manager / Contract Manager – Department: Data Centre Solutions
* Education / Training: Excellent general education in electrical, mechanical or equivalent experience; must demonstrate continuous development with at least two years’ experience in data centre management; must be a certified Facility Manager or equivalent. Degree level education in electrical or mechanical engineering.
* Strong knowledge and experience in critical temperature control environments and associated electrical and mechanical systems.
* Experience with health & safety risk assessments, control measures and ISO/FISMA audit processes.
* Proven track record of maintaining critical and temperature controlled environments, managing escalation and emergency issues.
* Experience with contract management, vendor management and project management principles.
* Expertise in ticketing or workflow management systems.
* Strong communication, motivation and people management skills.
* Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Visio and Microsoft Project.


Experience

* Managerial experience as Facility Manager or Contract Manager in a critical environment.
* Understand safety codes for providing service.
* Maintain critical and temperature-controlled environments.
* Experience with maintenance scheduling and subcontractor management.
* Leadership in environment and operations service delivery.
* Proven project management experience.
