This is an exciting opportunity to join a global manufacturing services company as an Automation Engineer The Automation Engineer is responsible for delivering automation projects from quotation through to product manufacture.
Responsibilities:
1. Support design, buy-off, installation, and validation of automated production lines.
2. Manage assigned project budgets; liaise with Customers, and contractors as required.
3. Process Characterisation / Optimisation (DFMEA's, PFMEA's DOE's, MSA's .
4. Lead systematic technical root cause investigations.
5. Support production line ramp to achieve mature production targets.
6. Develops and implements production/processing methods and controls to meet quality standards in the most efficient manner for new and existing additive manufacturing processes.
7. Drive continuous improvement projects.
8. Support technical training.
9. Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.
10. Ensure ongoing compliance with GMP in all practices, recording of events and processes.
11. Ensure compliance with all learnings from all GMP training events.
12. Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed, based on the evolution of the company and the requirements of the department/position.

17. Lean Six Sigma skills are an advantage.
18. Provide innovative solutions to complex problems.

20. Proficient in MS Office applications, and MS Project.
21. CAD experience desirable.
Requirements:
22. Honours Degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or similar discipline.
23. 3-6 years experience in a manufacturing environment (high volume automated assembly experience would be an advantage as would medical device manufacturing experience).
24. Travel as necessary to support equipment buy-offs and training at vendor/customer sites.
