The Position
We are seeking an experienced accountant with a strong financial background to join our award-winning Financial Accounting and Outsourcing Services Division. The role involves supporting clients in managing their finance functions, understanding their financial position, ensuring compliance with legislation, and delivering high-quality services across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage client projects to meet deadlines through effective planning and scheduling.
* Handle a diverse portfolio of clients, preparing management accounts, VAT returns, financial statements, reconciliations, and leading bookkeeping projects.
* Oversee billing processes, including budgeting and invoicing.
* Ensure timely and quality service delivery within budget.
* Apply technical expertise, particularly with FRS 102 standards.
* Maintain financial information using software like Xero and Sage 50.
* Create and update financial statements collaboratively using accounts production software.
* Stay updated with accounting and regulatory standards for compliance.
* Coordinate with external stakeholders, including auditors, during the year-end audit process.
* Build strong relationships with clients and manage service expectations.
* Promote an innovative, inclusive, and team-oriented work environment and mentor junior staff.
Ideal Candidate
* Qualified ACA/ACCA
* Minimum 2+ years of experience as a senior accounts assistant or accountant in professional services or industry.
* Aspiring individual with a focus on client service and team development.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, eager to learn new systems.
* Detail-oriented with strong accuracy and multitasking skills.
* Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
* Effective team player with self-motivation and initiative.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about new challenges.
* Quick learner with interest in legislative developments such as GAAP, IFRS, US GAAP, and VAT changes.
