With nearly 70 years of experience in product design, sourcing, and logistics, Douglas Toys is known for its commitment to quality, reliability, and long-term retail partnerships.
As part of our international growth, Douglas Toys is establishing a new European branch in Ireland. This office will support customer service, logistics coordination, and day-to-day operational activities for our EU and UK customers. We are seeking a motivated professional to join us at an early stage and help support the successful launch and ongoing operation of our Irish presence.
Role Summary:
Primary point of contact for inbound calls and day-to-day logistics coordination supporting EU operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Answer inbound phone calls during business hours
* Coordinate shipments, deliveries, and returns
* Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and internal teams
* Update orders accurately
* Escalate issues per defined procedures
* Perform basic administrative tasks as required
Required Skills
* Strong verbal and written communication
* Basic logistics or operations experience
* Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, email, phone systems)
* Impeccable attention to detail
* Ability to work independently
Hours
* Full-time 9 AM – 5 PM
* 40 hour work week
Compensation
Salary range: €35,000–€40,000.
Statutory benefits per Irish law:
* This role includes all statutory employment benefits in accordance with Irish law, including paid annual leave, public holidays, statutory sick pay, PRSI-related State benefits, and statutory family and parental leave entitlements.
Probation
The employment shall be subject to a probationary period of one month commencing on the start date. During the probationary period, the Employee's performance, conduct, and suitability for the role will be assessed. The Employer reserves the right to terminate the employment during the probationary period on one week's notice or payment in lieu of notice. The probationary period may be extended at the Employer's discretion, subject to applicable law.
