Our company is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and driving our vision to be the most valued global provider of high quality, competitively priced pharmaceutical products.
About the Role
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for preparing and maintaining detailed cost models for a wide range of pharmaceutical products, including manufactured, third-party, and part-processed items. They will develop in-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical products, production processes, and associated cost factors across both medical and veterinary lines.
* Liaising with subject matter experts (SMEs) across departments to gather essential data and validating assumptions for cost models related to R&D and contract manufacturing.
* Monitoring fluctuations in cost drivers and assessing their financial impact on product portfolios.
* Performing standard cost updates on a periodic basis.
* Conducting monthly reviews of supplier pricing trends and material cost of sales.
* Analysing direct labour and overhead costs in detail to support operational and financial decision-making.
* Managing inventory reporting and reconciliation; working cross-functionally to optimize stock management and assessing metrics such as ageing and stock turnover.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA).
* A minimum of 2 years' industry experience, preferably within a GMP-regulated environment.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an aptitude for interpreting complex data.
* Proficient in financial reporting and cost modelling.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.
* Well-developed organisational abilities with the capacity to manage competing priorities.
