Saint John of God Dublin South East Services invites applications for the post of Maintenance Supervisor. This is a permanent full-time position. Maintenance Supervisor - Full Time 2 Year Fixed Term Contract Position - Grade 5 (Ref: MS2025) We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the delivery and coordination of maintenance services across all Day and Residential Services in the Dublin South East Region. This is a key role requiring strong technical skills, excellent organisational ability, and a proactive approach to facilities management to ensure the safety, functionality, and compliance of our services. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage all maintenance activities across the region's Day and Residential Services, ensuring a high standard of service delivery. Supervise and coordinate internal maintenance teams and external contractors, ensuring all work is carried out safely, professionally, and in line with health and safety regulations. Ensure all maintenance staff are fully trained in all mandatory training and any additional training required for their duties, including ladder safety, working at heights, and other role-specific training needs. Lead and manage the Mworkers system, ensuring all proactive maintenance requests are actioned promptly and logged correctly. Ensure all scheduled maintenance tasks (e.g. boiler servicing, CO2 monitor checks, etc.) are completed on time and maintain up-to-date records. Monitor and manage incoming invoices, maintaining regular communication with the Operations Manager and Finance Officer. Ensure timely submission of all invoices and strict adherence to procurement policies and procedures at all times. Drive a value-for-money approach, ensuring cost-effective solutions are identified and implemented without compromising quality. Liaise regularly with Day and Residential Services to ensure clear communication, timely responses, and coordination of works. Ensure third-party contractors operate safely and in accordance with organisational standards while on-site. Essential Criteria: A recognised, relevant, and validated City and Guilds qualification with a minimum of five years' relevant experience in the area of maintenance. Demonstrated skills and hands-on experience in areas such as plumbing, heating, electrical work, carpentry, fitting, and decorating. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. High level of responsibility, with strong organisational, interpersonal, time management, and communication skills. Excellent computer and analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to lead and complete maintenance projects independently. A full clean driving licence is essential. Desirable: Experience in maintenance roles within a healthcare, disability, or residential care setting. Familiarity with digital maintenance management systems. Experience operating ROS (Revenue Online Service) system, including processing claims, refunds, rebates, and other relevant financial transactions related to maintenance activities.
