The successful candidate will be a passionate hospitality professional, who knows how to deliver a superior guest experience.About the Role:Working with the Rooms Division Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the front desk. You will support and lead the front office team, providing exceptional guest service, and helping to create a welcoming and professional environment for guests and staff alike. Maximizing every opportunity to capture revenue, you will consistently deliver the highest standard of customer service, and promote a professional and positive image to all guests and visitors of the hotel.Key Responsibilities:Ensure a consistent, friendly and efficient service throughout guests' stay, that exceeds their expectations and gives a lasting first and last impression.Supervise daily front office operations, ensuring excellent service delivery at all times.Assist in the induction, training, mentoring, and scheduling the front desk team, leading by example.Organise and hold departmental meetings if required.Handle all kinds of bookings efficiently and professionally, including guest check-ins and check-outs, dining reservations, groups & blocks etc.Handle payments accurately in accordance with hotel standards and cash & data handling procedures.Resolve guest problems or queries effectively in a timely and professional manner.Coordinate with other departments to maximize cross-selling opportunities and to ensure a seamless service.Proactively upsell hotel products and services, to enhance guest stay and for the benefit of hotel departments.Maintain accurate records and reports (e.g., occupancy, billing).Ensure a thorough handover at the end of each shift, in line with SOPs.Maintain service when Front Office systems fail or go offline.Ensure all health & safety and GDPR regulations are followed at all times.Carry out risk assessments within the department and report issues to line manager.Have a full understanding of emergency procedures.Requirements:Minimum 2 years' experience in a front office or reception role, ideally in a hotel settingPrevious supervisory or team lead experience preferredStrong communication and leadership skillsExcellent customer service and problem-solving abilitiesFamiliarity with hotel systems & procedures (e.g., Opera Cloud, Table Path, Excel, Word, Outlook, Function Sheets, telephone and switchboard system)Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysBasic knowledge of local attractionsFluent English required; additional languages a bonusFire, First Aid and/or Health & Safety training is an advantage.What We Offer:Competitive salaryMeals on duty and staff discountsOpportunities for progression within a growing hotelSupportive team environmentOngoing training and professional developmentJob Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:Company eventsEmployee discountFood allowanceGym membershipOn-site gymOn-site parkingAbility to commute/relocate:Kinsale, CO.
