Overview
As Head of Payments and Collections, you will lead the global payments team across five international locations.
This role is responsible for delivering a secure, efficient, and compliant payments and collections process, supporting strategic financial operations across assumed and ceded reinsurance.
Responsibilities
Lead and develop a team of 20 across Dublin, across EMEA and North America
Design and deliver a global payments and collections strategy in line with company goals.
Oversee daily payment operations, ensuring security, speed, and accuracy of transactions.
Implement technologies and automation to streamline payment and collections processes.
Monitor and reduce outstanding receivables through effective collections strategy.
Manage relationships with internal teams (Finance, IT, Legal, Claims, Reinsurance Accounting) to ensure aligned workflows.
Ensure full compliance with international and local regulations.
Own fraud prevention controls and ensure secure data handling.
Track KPIs and performance metrics; report regularly to senior leadership.
Qualifications
Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
8+ years in payments, collections, or financial operations, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
Experience leading international teams and executing on global strategies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proven project and process management capabilities.
Excellent communication skills; English fluency required, French a plus.
Familiarity with systems like SICS, e Messaging, B2 B platforms preferred.
Experience in digital transformation and automation is advantageous.
