Our client are a well-established business in the retail sector who are looking for an accounting technician to join their team.
The Role - Bookkeeper
This role is a general role within a busy Finance function, some of the duties involve:
All areas of managing creditors
Debtor management
Processing payroll
Reconciliations
Preparation of key metrics
Statutory Returns - VAT, etc.
Manage bank accounts
Management of overheads and cost control
Assist with preparation and filing of statutory accounts and other statutory returns
Ad-hoc projects and general office support
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have the following skills or experience:
Relevant experience in a broad role in a Finance team
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Strong IT skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong communicator
Self-motivating and able to work on own initiative
