Maintenance Engineer An excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a highly skilled engineering team in Co Louth within a world-renowned precision engineering company. The Role Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Maintenance Engineer will be based in Louth and is responsible for carrying out preventive and reactive maintenance on production machinery, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and contributing to continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing downtime and increasing efficiency. Key responsibilities include: Performing routine maintenance and safety checks on production equipment. Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical breakdowns, including motors, conveyors, CNC machines, and robotics. Planning and scheduling preventive maintenance tasks. Sourcing and managing spare parts, liaising with suppliers and equipment vendors. Installing new production equipment and participating in upgrades. Driving process improvements in machine efficiency and reliability. Maintaining accurate maintenance records using a Maintenance Management System. The Person You are a technically skilled and proactive maintenance engineer with experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You enjoy problem-solving and contributing to process improvement while maintaining high safety standards. You will bring: A recognised qualification in Engineering, Electrical, or Mechanical disciplines. Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, ideally within precision manufacturing. Experience with CNC machines and robotics is advantageous. Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma and/or OEE is desirable. Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills.
