Offer description

Eligibility to participate in CE is generally linked to being 21 years or older and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more, or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Eligibility verification is conducted by the Department.

To register your interest, you can contact an Employment Personal Advisor (EPA) in your local Intreo Centre.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.


Duties

* This is a developmental opportunity; no experience is required. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
* Provide education, training and work opportunities for Community Employment participants, while supporting people with intellectual disabilities to live full and valued lives.
* Assist individuals with their personal and domestic care as required and facilitate participation in activities as per the programme or care plan.
* Work placements are part-time and temporary, within communities, as part of the CE scheme.
* Sector: human health and social work activities
