This is a hands-on role focused onreplacing components in servers, completing basic diagnostics, and following clear processes to keep infrastructure running reliably.This role suits someone early in their IT career for example, with6+ months of IT hardware experience(IT repair, PC/laptop break-fix, field service, or workshop support) and aCompTIA qualification.Key responsibilitiesPerform server break-fix tasks (e.g., replacing disks, RAM, PSUs, fans, cables, NICs and other components).Follow work instructions and tickets to complete hardware swaps within agreed SLAs.Run basic diagnostics and visual checks to confirm faults and validate fixes.Accurately update tickets and asset records (serial numbers, parts used, outcomes).Maintain strong housekeeping standards in racks and work areas (cable care, ESD handling, tool control).Escalate issues to technicians/engineers when faults are not resolved or require deeper troubleshooting.Work safely and compliantly in a controlled data centre environment.Required experience / qualifications6+ months hands-on IT hardware experience (repair shop, desktop support, field service, or similar).CompTIA A+ (or currently working towards it) other CompTIA certifications are a plus.Comfortable using tools and following step-by-step procedures.Basic understanding of computer/server hardware components.Strong attention to detail and ability to document work clearly.Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a structured environment.Nice to haveAny exposure to data centre environments (even site visits or short-term assignments).Familiarity with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy, etc.).Understanding of ESD best practices and working in racks.Basic networking awareness (patching, labeling, ports) not essential.Working environmentOn-site role based in a data centre.May involve shift work (days/nights/weekends) depending on the site schedule.Standing/walking for periods of time and lifting/moving hardware components (within safe handling guidelines).What success looks likeHardware swaps completed right-first-time with clean documentation.Consistent adherence to safety and process.Clear communication and smooth handoffs/escalations.Send your CV with a short note on:Your hands-on hardware experience (what you repaired/replaced)Your CompTIA status (completed/in progress)Your availability and location
