Business Development Manager Role
Main purpose of a Business Development Manager:
The appointed candidate will be responsible for managing a customer base comprising Grocery, convenience and wholesale customers. They will focus on delivering strong sales growth plans in each account to enhance the brand's presence in line with company objectives.
* Key responsibilities include managing distribution, merchandising, incremental secondary space, permanent availability, and implementing promotions, tastings, and other activities to drive business expansion.
* Responsible for new business opportunities through opening new customers and expanding existing ones.
Responsibilities:
Sales: Achieve year-on-year growth by identifying incremental sales opportunities and new leads within their territory.
* Ensure Availability: Guarantee that each customer has the core range available at all times, including seasonal ranges.
* Displays/Incremental Displays Merchandising: Maximize sales by merchandising existing stockholdings to ensure optimal locations in-store.
* Building Secondary Seasonal Displays: Drive incremental sales through adding theatre and visual displays.
Requirements:
* Sales ability with a proven track record in FMCG.
* Able to build solid internal and external relationships.
* Highly inquisitive nature to capture customer needs.
* Ambitious and motivated to achieve results and targets.
* Numerate with good literacy skills.
* Excellent planning and organisation skills.
* Good face-to-face negotiation and presentation skills.
* Accurate feedback skills.
* IT literate in MS Word and Excel.
