Job Details
We are seeking applications from energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our team for the above position in our Designated Centre (Crossroads). Candidates must be highly motivated, creative with a passion for engaging with the individuals we support on a daily basis. Candidates must be self-driven, focused and person-centred. Working hours and shifts will be variable including day, evening, weekends & sleepovers/night duty as required. All contracts are with the Service.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements
* To facilitate and implement a person-centred approach for the individuals we support appropriate to their wishes and goals
* To promote and protect the rights of the individuals we support in a manner that respects their dignity, their right to make choices and their privacy
* To actively seek new interests and opportunities for the individuals to develop meaningful roles in their communities
* To ensure the overall wellbeing of the individuals in all areas of their lives including health and personal care
* Dealing with Behaviours that challenge
* Experience in managing risk/risk assessments
* Experience in alternative communications
* Excellent organisation and communication skills
* A knowledge of the HIQA regulations and standards
* A knowledge of New Directions
* Have the ability to deal with confidential information in a discreet and responsible manner
* Excellent IT and report writing skills
Qualifications/Requirements
* A minimum of QQI Level 5 in Health Care Support/Social Care (A Diploma or Degree in Social Care or other relevant discipline advantageous)
* 6 months experience of working with people with an Intellectual Disability required
* Must hold a full clean driving licence and willing to drive company vehicles
* Be available to work a variety of day, evening, weekends, sleepovers & night duty required.
