The Trade Counter Sales Executive plays a key role in ensuring excellent customer service and sales performance at our trade counter. This role involves being the first point of contact for customers, handling sales transactions, processing orders, and maintaining a high standard of presentation in the trade area. The successful candidate will work within a fast-paced, dynamic sales environment to provide exceptional customer care and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Attend to and greet all walk-in customers.
Handle enquiries and orders over the phone and in person.
Achieve sales targets with a strong emphasis on proactive selling.
Offer professional product advice and maximise every sales opportunity.
Communicate effectively both internally and externally to ensure seamless customer experience.
Process all cash counter sales efficiently and accurately.
2.Order Processing & Administration
Process incoming sales orders, quotation requests, and customer inquiries.
Respond to enquiries as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Process e-commerce orders and update products onto the website.
Provide relevant reporting related to e-commerce and cash sales.
Liaise with couriers regarding customers' orders and ensure prompt deliveries.
3.Trade Counter & Showroom Maintenance
Keep the Trade Area and Showroom to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
Ensure product displays are well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing.
4.Customer Issue Resolution
Ensure complaints and issues raised by customers are resolved quickly and professionally.
Liaise with relevant departments to address and rectify customer concerns.
5.Other Duties
Take on additional responsibilities as defined by the Line Manager to support the sales team's overall goals.
Required Skills
Customer Service Excellence: Strong ability to engage with customers and provide outstanding service.
Sales & Communication Skills: Ability to achieve sales targets, upsell products, and communicate effectively with customers.
Organizational & Time Management Skills: Capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Proficiency: Experience with computers, particularly Intact software, would be advantageous.
Problem-Solving & Initiative: Ability to take ownership of issues and find effective solutions.
Team Collaboration: Works well within a team to support sales activities and contribute to department success.
Necessary Qualifications/Experience
Previous experience in an office-based sales role preferred.
Strong knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in handling both face-to-face and phone-based sales inquiries.
Ability to work in a pressurized environment and adapt to changing business needs.
