Our client is a leading Hotel and Property Group who currently wish to recruit a Financial Controller for one of their new Hotels in Dublin City Centre. The Financial Controller will play a key role in positioning the hotel competitively within the Dublin market. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a landmark launch. You will take full responsibility for the day-to-day financial operations of the hotel. Working closely with the General Manager and department leaders, you will ensure timely, accurate, and high-integrity financial reporting. Key responsibilities include: Producing accurate financial reports, including revenue forecasts, cost and profitability analyses, P&L accounts, and budget packs. Reporting and reconciling daily revenue. Overseeing purchase orders and invoice processing, ensuring correct coding and timely supplier payments in line with financial policies; managing supplier queries and statement reconciliations. Liaising with payroll for processing, BACS payments, and monthly PAYE reconciliations. Managing credit control to ensure debts are collected in line with policy, including debtor and creditor reconciliations. Preparing monthly management accounts in line with financial policy and bank reporting requirements. Ensuring all balance sheet accounts are reconciled and actioned monthly. Submitting quarterly VAT returns. Implementing and supporting property operating policies and procedures. Coordinating documentation for financial audits. Experience/Requirements Proven track record as a Financial Controller within the hotel industry. Confident, articulate communicator with excellent interpersonal skills. Strong process orientation and a positive approach to change. Ability to coach and support team members. Highly organised, systematic, and deadline-driven. Analytical, detail-focused, and proactive. Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with financial systems; experience with Sage Line 50, Alkimii, and Procure Wizard is an advantage.
