Job Summary
This role would suit a candidate looking to work locally in Connemara in a friendly environment that is team based, supportive and friendly. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing novel composite products as part of a strong team. The role will require excellent technical skills as well as hands on experience in manufacturing. This is an ideal role for an early career engineer candidate or graduate.
Responsibilities:
* Manufacturing and testing of cutting-edge composite parts.
* Lead research and development projects
* Plan and deliver engineering projects in line with customer requirements
* Improve the efficiency of manufacturing processes
* Develop manufacturing processes and define work instructions
* Complete reporting obligations on commercial and research projects
* Draft and review project reports and quality documentation
* Work in a fast-paced environment and to assist with manufacturing tasks as demands arise.
* Performing other duties as necessary.
Requirements
Education
* Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Skills
* Experience in ‘hands-on’ work is highly desired.
* Ability to communicate effectively, act decisively, and to demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness.
* Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrates good problem-solving capability.
* The prospective candidate must be able to demonstrate a positive can-do attitude, professional approach and self-motivation in completing assigned tasks.
* Individuals will be required to be mobile, with frequent standing, bending, reaching grasping, stooping and walking are requirements for role.
* Effective team member.
* Open to ongoing learning, feedback, development and cross training.
* Fluency in Irish is desirable but not essential.
* Graduates and early-stage career candidates will be considered.
