About the Role
The Email Development and Operations Manager will play a crucial role in the production and deployment of high-volume, high-quality email campaigns for high-profile brands. You will collaborate with Marketers, Development Leads, Designers, Project Managers, Engineers, and Analysts to seamlessly gather content and build emails using proprietary tools. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert on email campaign and web production operations, with a strong understanding of email marketing best practices and a proven ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
* Act as the subject matter expert on email campaign and web production operations; distribute, create, communicate, and apply best practices and learnings to continually improve results.
* Build, QA, and deploy email campaigns using proprietary tools and programs developed by Monks or Client Engineering teams.
* Set up, configure, and manage marketing automation campaigns.
* Manage data projects where you will analyze trends to provide the client with insights and recommendations.
* Maintain subscriber/purchaser data, imports, and segmentation using a combination of tools and databases.
* Recommend and implement email personalization and segmentation strategies to improve campaign performance.
* Stay up to date with software, hardware, and email client spaces to keep abreast with industry best practices.
* Organize and manage new digital modules for web and email, working collaboratively with Marketing and Engineering teams.
* Execute a high-volume, high-quality workload in a fast-paced, dynamic, and creative environment.
* Escalate issues impacting production cycle dependencies and deadlines.
* Facilitate production calls to plan and prioritize requests and adjust course as business requires.
* Suggest operational and workflow improvements to constantly enhance in-house production processes.
* Work with stakeholders to compile relevant content and assets while managing expectations and production schedules.
* Implement testing strategies, such as A/B testing, to optimize campaigns and programs.
* Follow quality assurance plans and protocols to ensure flawless execution and deployment.
About You:
The Essentials:
* 3+ years of experience in email marketing production, preferably in conjunction with project and account teams.
* 3+ years of experience in a client-facing or client services type role.
* Proven experience managing complex email marketing projects.
* Must have intermediate knowledge of HTML, CSS, and responsive email design.
* Experience with data analysis and reporting on email campaign performance; SQL is desired.
* Expert understanding of email marketing concepts, metrics, tools, technology, KPIs, and industry best practices, such as deliverability and sender reputation.
* Capability to thrive and meet aggressive goals and timelines in a fast-paced, high-volume, and ever-changing environment.
* Resourceful problem-solver who quickly gathers information and is comfortable with new or proprietary technologies and concepts.
* Experience working in cross-functional teams across multiple time zones using JIRA or similar project management software.
* Familiarity with email marketing regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR).
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent organizational skills and a very strong attention to detail.
