The Team You Will Join
As the marketing and communications lead in Ireland, you will work within the UK Marketing function, collaborating across teams in both the UK and Ireland and engaging with marketers throughout MetLife.
The role involves delivering marketing and communications to support business objectives while maintaining brand standards.
You will be part of the multi-functional team based in Ireland.
The Opportunity
The Marketing & Communications Manager role is a newly created role to support MetLife Ireland's market entry and success.
This is an exciting opportunity to help launch and establish a new insurance business in the market.
It has responsibility for both the external and internal marketing communication deliverables.
Whilst MetLife is an established business globally and in the UK, the nature of this role will be entrepreneurial, operating with a start-up mentality.
Success in this role will require someone who is a self-starter and comfortable being both a thinker and a doer.
The role holder will be responsible for the development and implementation of marketing strategies and plans to support the sales objectives of the business, including product launches.
This includes working collaboratively with various departments in an environment where every contribution is respected, and every perspective is heard.
How You'll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)
Lead the marketing for Ireland, providing insights and recommendations to the business
Create all internal communications for the Irish business
Oversee performance of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies as needed to achieve business goals, reporting back to stakeholders
Manage agencies to develop creative and PR campaigns as necessary
Develop and implement marketing and communications strategies and plans for new and existing products/propositions
Coordinate the production of marketing collateral, including brochures, presentations, and digital content and ensure all marketing activities comply with regulatory requirements and company policies
Collaborate with proposition and the sales team to create marketing materials and campaigns that drive lead generation and nurture customer relationships
Work alongside the Agile project team to deliver a runway of propositional enhancements
What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)
Required
Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field
5+ yrs.
B2B marketing experience, with knowledge of campaign management, advertising and integrated marketing communications, including strategy, creative, production and media
Experience of new product development and/or product launches
Ability to bring creativity and innovative thinking to marketing execution
Experience of end-to-end digital product builds/ understanding of digital servicing
Must be able to take a 'hands on' approach - plan and do
Knowledge and experience of working within a fast-moving product development environment
Willing to work from the office 5 per week
Experience of working with web analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, CMS
Skills
Self-starter with ability to prioritize, manage and track multiple projects
Team player, who is able to work independently to keep projects moving
Ability to interface effectively with people and build strong relationships
Comfortable working with, and presenting to, senior level staff
Ability to apply creative problem-solving skills

Strong oral and written communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
Highly organised with strong attention to detail

Experience of working within Agile teams and platforms such as JIRA & TargetProcess
Experience of working within Financial Services in Ireland
