Restaurant Supervisor
At The Dunloe Hotel & Gardens, we are currently recruiting for a Restaurant Supervisor. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead a team of professionals in a warm, opulent space where we offer our guests the best of Irish hospitality. We are proud of our team and the service we provide, including leisure offerings and bespoke weddings each season.
We are seeking a supervisor to assist the Restaurant Manager in directing and organizing restaurant staff to ensure all guests have a flawless experience.
This position is part of the Killarney Hotels Collection, which includes The Europe Hotel & Resort and Ard na Sidhe Country House. While based at The Dunloe Hotel & Gardens, we share a commitment to excellence and guest satisfaction across our properties.
This is a fixed-term position from April to September 2025.
Duties:
* Provide courteous, high-standard service consistently
* Be a team player capable of multitasking
* Anticipate guests’ needs and preferences
* Maintain strong product knowledge of all dishes and beverages
* Adapt to a flexible work schedule
* Communicate effectively with kitchen and other departments
* Act as a self-starter with clear work priorities
* Train and supervise staff
* Plan daily restaurant activities
* Handle customer complaints and queries efficiently, ensuring guest satisfaction
* Manage bookings and events via telephone and email
* Record customer requests and preferences accurately
* Assist food & beverage staff with daily tasks such as order taking, POS operations, billing, cash handling, and checking customer satisfaction
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a food and beverage or restaurant supervisor, preferably within the 5-star luxury market
* Attention to detail and a strong desire to exceed guest expectations
* Excellent personal presentation
* Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Proficient in hotel software and computer skills
* Ability to work and lead as part of a team
* Fluent in English, both oral and written
