Paediatric Anaesthesia Fellowship
This 12-month fellowship position is available in paediatric anaesthesia, commencing in July 2026.
The successful candidate will gain a unique and robust experience in delivering safe paediatric anaesthesia, with a focus on developing the skills and knowledge necessary for independent practice.
About the Programme
We offer a comprehensive training programme that includes:
* A range of rotations across paediatric specialities, including cardiology, ENT, orthopaedics and critical care.
* Ongoing mentorship and supervision from experienced consultants.
* Opportunities to participate in quality improvement projects and clinical research.
Responsibilities
The fellow will be responsible for providing anaesthesia services to children across a range of settings, including theatre, ICU and emergency department. They will also be expected to participate in teaching and educational activities, as well as contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the department.
Requirements
To be eligible for this position, applicants must have completed their specialist training (post-CCST) and be eligible to register with the Irish Medical Council. They should also demonstrate a strong interest in paediatric anaesthesia and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
