We are currently recruiting for multiple Residential Rehabilitation Assistants to join our team in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal.
We have multiple contracts available:
* Permanent, Full-Time, 39 hours
* Specified Purpose, Full-Time, 39 hours
Acquired Brain Injury Ireland provides community-based residential rehabilitation services to people living with brain injury in Ireland. Our mission is to passionately serve and empower people impacted by brain injury through personalised rehabilitation and relentless advocacy. Every day, we work with survivors of brain injury in their homes, communities, Clubhouses, and residences, helping them to achieve personal goals and maximise independence.
The role of the Residential Rehabilitation Assistant is to support and assist people with acquired brain injury in all aspects of daily living activities, enabling them to live valued, independent lives and participate actively in the community.
With a person-centred approach, our Residential Rehabilitation Assistants help each individual to plan and direct their lives, meet the needs outlined in their rehabilitation plans, and support meaningful outcomes. They assist individuals in integrating more fully into the community and reaching their potential.
Role Duties:
1. Form therapeutic relationships and maintain a positive, professional rapport with the person served.
2. Facilitate and coordinate daily independence within the service and community by working with the individual and their family to develop their Individual Rehabilitation Plan (IRP).
3. Assist and encourage individuals to achieve their IRP goals.
4. Support budgeting, money management, and disability benefits, where applicable, in line with organisational policies.
5. Help improve quality of life by supporting activities of daily living, skill development for employment, and leisure activities.
6. Record and document daily activities, reports, and reviews using the iPlanit system.
7. Work as part of a team, attending meetings and reviews as required.

Qualifications and requirements:
* A relevant Health or Social Care qualification at a minimum of QQI Level 5.
* Full driving licence.
* A person-centred approach to supporting individuals with acquired brain injury.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proficiency in speaking and writing English.
* Previous residential care or community work experience.
* Experience working in disability or illness support areas.
Salary: from €29,417 to €42,313, DOE
