We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Power BI Developer for our well-established client based in Dun Laoghaire.
Responsibilities:
* Work alongside key stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver reports, dashboards, and visualizations using PowerBI.
* Enhance and improve existing reports and dashboards.
* Develop a full understanding of relevant data and the business process that generate it.
* Working with information gathered from multiple sources, be able to evaluate and document business requirements, ensuring that the proposed solutions are reconciled with all business inputs.
* Using interviews, workshops, documentation reviews, business analysis, and business process evaluations, gather business requirements.
* Work with the data available to understand, validate and test business requirements.
* Document, design and build dashboards that are impactful and easily adopted.
* Establish standards and principles for the design of high-value Dashboards and Visualisations.
* Provide technical recommendations and direction on the development and implementation of reports & dashboards in adherence with the standards
* Utilise data, visualizations and PowerBI dashboard capabilities to deliver effective and compelling enterprise-quality reporting outputs. Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports to meet the needs of stakeholders
* Communicate complex data insights in a clear and compelling way, using visualisation, charts, and other storytelling techniques
* Continuously monitor and improve the performance of Power BI solutions
* Keep up-to-date with new features and updates in Power BI and related technologies
* Stay up-to-date with the latest data visualisation and storytelling techniques and tools
The role will be Dublin-based, in a flexible working environment, with a mix of remote working from home, working from our offices in Dun Laoghaire, and some onsite work at customer sites.

Requirements:
* Educated to degree level (or equivalent).
* Minimum 3 years experience in the delivery of Business Intelligence reporting, dashboards and
visualisations using PowerBI.
* Understanding of SQL and data warehousing.
* Hands-on experience working with enterprise databases technologies including some of the
following, snowflake, SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle.
* Be an effective communicator, both spoken and written.
* Demonstrate experience of gathering requirements and converting them into high-impact
and practical dashboards.
* Strong planning and organisation skills, ability to plan and prioritise work schedule and work
within agreed timescales.
* Effective problem-solving and analytical skills essential
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
* Excellent organisational and leadership skills
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities with a specific ability to express ideas clearly and concisely - verbally and in writing with a view to engaging and influencing
