Job Title: Director of Health and Wellness
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Director of Health and Wellness at our 5-star resort. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of all health and wellness programs, ensuring that guests have a wonderful experience in a clean, safe and well-managed facility.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience managing a 5-star resort spa and leisure club, with expertise in managing a busy team including recruitment, mentoring and supporting. They will also have extensive knowledge of pool/plant and fitness equipment, creation of programs for members and guests, as well as comprehensive ongoing and preventative maintenance programs for spa, leisure complex, equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Create a welcoming, friendly and relaxed environment for Spa and Leisure Club users, Residents, Members and guests.
2. Oversee the effective implementation of all SOPs and procedures within the team, carrying out regular checks of these SOPS with team members.
3. Communicate clearly and effectively with the wider team within the Resort.
4. Daily management of the Spa & Leisure Club, operations, hygiene, maintenance, sales.
5. Meet all health & safety regulations, guidelines and policy, ensuring that laid down emergency and contingency procedures are followed, and all staff are knowledgeable in these procedures.
6. Carry out water testing and regular routine inspections of all equipment, with specific attention being given to health and fitness equipment, pool areas and plant areas in order to ensure satisfactory operation and maintenance of safety standards.
7. Actively source new clients and membership for the Spa & Leisure Club.
8. Designing and promoting activities to meet customer demand and generate revenue.
9. Encourage both internal and external marketing and promotion of the Leisure facilities and ensure that staff are actively doing same.
10. Work in conjunction with the Hotel Management, Finance and Marketing teams to ensure that budgets are adhered to, and sales are met.
11. Be actively involved in daily operations in a hands-on capacity.

Requirements:
* A minimum of 3 years experience managing a 5-star resort spa and leisure club.
* Expertise in managing a busy team including recruitment, mentoring and supporting.
* Extensive knowledge of pool/plant and fitness equipment, creation of programs for members and guests.
* Comprehensive ongoing and preventative maintenance programs for spa, leisure complex, equipment and facilities.
* CPR, life saving, Pool Plant and First Aid certification is desirable.
