Role description: The Health & Safety Officer will play a key, hands-on role in ensuring long term, & day-to-day, safe, compliant, and proactive health and safety practices at Castolin Eutectics Ireland Ltd.
Working at our manufacturing plant, focused on the development of welding consumables The role involves Raising awareness and implementing good Health and Safety practices across the site Managing the accident and near miss reporting process and implementing corrective actions Ensuring risk assessments are created, maintained and adhered to Developing and delivering training or engaging suitable process experts as required Maintaining training records Creating and managing a Health and Safety improvement project plan that demonstrates compliance with all HSE and HSA requirements This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who wants to make a real and lasting impact within the company.

Key Responsibilities Conduct and maintain comprehensive risk assessments across the manufacturing plant.
Develop, implement, and deliver health and safety training programs for all staff.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date training and compliance records.
Ensure correct use, availability, and monitoring of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Ensure full compliance with all Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) and Health and Safety Authority (HSA) regulations.
Carry out regular safety audits, inspections, and workplace monitoring.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, implementing corrective actions.
Promote and embed a strong safety culture throughout the organisation.
Qualifications & Experience Required: Experience working in a manufacturing environment involved with health and safety management and improvements Proven experience writing and maintaining risk assessments in a manufacturing/ similar environment.
Working knowledge of HSE and HSA legislation and compliance requirements.
Experience delivering health and safety training and managing training records.
Desirable Level 8 degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.
Experience of handling powders, chemicals and metallic raw materials Relevant professional health and safety certifications (e.g.
NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
