General Operative - PortlaoiseTo assist in all areas of the plant as and when required and to deal with the acceptance and processing of waste and exports in compliance with all legislative and administrative requirements, and in line with our EPA licence.Key ResponsibilitiesTo carry out all required general operative duties which may include, but which will not be limited to:incoming waste (e.g. paint waste) is properly tracked and segregated into the appropriate waste streams and to account for outgoing waste accordingly processing of fuel oil as requiredoperation of filter press as required cleaning of tanks (confined space work) as required loading and unloading of vehicles as required additional services developed or offered by the companyConduct your duties in accordance with company standard operating procedures (SOPs) and the company’s waste licenceComplete all paperwork and administration necessary as requested by your supervisor or as the business needs dictateAdhere to the company’s Health and Safety policy and procedures at all times, including but not limited to:By wearing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) at all times Highlighting any safety concerns to your Manager immediately and to report any accidents/ incidents to your Manager immediatelyReporting all non-conformances to the relevant personnel and to follow up to ensure compliance requirements are met.Ensure that housekeeping is kept to a high standard around the site and that all activities comply with health and safety requirementsCommunicate any issues that arise to the Operations Manager/ Supervisor immediately Attend plant meetings, company meetings, training courses etc. as required Provide direct operational support to any and all areas of the business as required and as reasonably requested by the company including but not limited to support for off site operations (e.g. waste oil and garage services, field services)Be flexible to carry out other duties as may be requested of your Manager from time to time Communicate any issues that arise within the plant/ process to the Operations Manager or next most appropriate person immediatelyMaintain vehicles, work equipment, materials and PPE clean and in working order and to report any loss or damage immediatelyCarry out checks, inspections and audits as directedSkills, Knowledge and ExpertiseGood communication skillsAbility to work on own initiativeWhy Work for Enva?Enva is committed to providing more than just jobs, we want to grow our business by offering career paths that match the aspirations of the talent that is increasingly aware of the need to protect the planet we all share.
