Working within the Corporate Affairs function, the Corporate Responsibility Manager is responsible for delivering Tesco Ireland’s Stronger Starts community strategy through the planning and operational delivery of our community programmes and by supporting Store Managers to develop strong community relations nationwide.
The Corporate Responsibility Manager works across the business with Retail, Distribution, Commercial, PR, Internal Comms and Customer teams to deliver effective, integrated plans that bring positive benefits to communities nationwide, while also engaging colleagues, customers, and communities.
We’re looking for a passionate and strategic CR Manager to lead the delivery of Tesco’s flagship community investment programmes: the Tesco Community Fund and our National Charity Partnership. This role is pivotal in driving social impact, strengthening community relationships, and aligning charitable initiatives with Tesco’s values and business goals.
Tesco Community Fund
* Oversee the strategic direction and day-to-day management of the Tesco Community Fund.
* Collaborate with local stores, community groups/charitable causes, retail area managers, regional community colleagues, and other internal stakeholders, to develop and execute campaigns to raise awareness and encourage community engagement.
* Co-ordinate with agencies and stakeholders to ensure the necessary information is collected to maximise efficiencies and impact of the Community Fund for the groups involved.
* Manage and respond to ad‑hoc donation requests from community groups.
Tesco Supporting Children
* Oversee the management of the Tesco Supporting Children initiative, through effective collaboration with our charity partners and internal functions to ensure that initiative meets the needs of all stakeholders, and its successes are communicated.
National Charity Partnership
* Manage the relationship with Tesco’s chosen national charity partner, ensuring alignment of goals and mutual value.
* Develop and oversee fundraising campaigns, work collaboratively with stores and with other teams within the business to ensure successful outcomes.
* Lead the delivery of fundraising, volunteering, and awareness campaigns.
* Coordinate national campaigns and events, ensuring high visibility and participation across Tesco’s store network.
* Evaluate partnership outcomes and recommend improvements for future campaigns.
General CSR Leadership
* Act as a CSR ambassador within Tesco, promoting responsible business practices and community engagement.
* Work closely with internal teams (e.g., Customer, People, and Retail Support teams) to integrate CSR into broader business strategy.
* Development of responsive ad‑hoc plans to best support the communities we serve (e.g. crisis community support plans in times of floods etc.) as required.
* Stay informed on CSR trends, legislation, and best practices to inform programme development.
* Manage community budgets and financial operations, including donation processes, cheque presentations, lodgement tracking, of relevant community programmes.
* Capture and report impact data from all three programmes.
* Represent Tesco at external forums, panels, and stakeholder meetings, as required.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in CSR, community investment, or charity partnership management.
* Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
* Analytical mindset with experience in impact measurement and reporting.
* Passion for social impact and community development.
* Experience working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
