We have a fantastic role for an experienced Head Chef/Senior Sous Chef who enjoys cooking to a very high standard and working with local produce.
Responsibilities include:
* Leading by example as a hands-on Head Chef, overseeing all aspects of food preparation and service.
* Recruitment, training, and development of staff.
* Menu planning for the restaurant.
* Sourcing products from local suppliers.
* Maintaining excellent GP and minimizing wastage.
* Monitoring KPIs and ensuring budget compliance.
* Regularly reviewing and monitoring suppliers.
* Ensuring HACCP standards are met and staff are trained accordingly.
* Maintaining a high standard of food quality consistently.
* Adhering to SOPs in place.
The ideal candidate:
* Has previous experience as a Head Chef/Senior Sous Chef in a busy 4/5* hotel or upmarket restaurant.
* Experience in menu planning for restaurants and events.
* Strong financial skills with a proven record of achieving good GPs and controlling food costs.
* Possesses a strong culinary and creative background, staying updated on industry trends.
* Excellent leadership and motivational skills, able to remain calm under pressure.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Capable of producing high-standard food consistently.
* Passionate about cooking, with this passion reflected in the menus created.
* Legally able to work full-time in Ireland without restrictions.
