As a Data centre Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of data centre systems.
Your responsibilities will include: - Oversee daily operations and maintenance activities of our data centre supplier, ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLA).
- Review and enhance operational plans for power systems, HVAC, and BMS to ensure peak performance.
- Analyse energy usage data and provide actionable recommendations for improving efficiency across the data centre.
- Champion the implementation of equipment inspections and preventive maintenance by liaising with suppliers.
- Review fault reports and track the resolution process to ensure issues are addressed promptly.
- Contribute to plans for infrastructure upgrades and expansions.
- Evaluate the supplier's operation and maintenance standard operating procedures, suggesting improvements as necessary.
- Ensure stable operation, supervising emergency responses to any incidents.
- Lead the internal O&M team, assigning tasks and evaluating performance to foster a high-performing culture.
- Collaborate with various departments to align data centre operations with overall business needs.
What We're Looking For: - A Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or HVAC Engineering.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in data centre operations and maintenance.
- In-depth knowledge of data centre power and HVAC systems, alongside proficiency in Auto CAD.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., electrical engineer, HVAC engineer).
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations governing data centres.
- Strong supplier management and team leadership capabilities.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Stellar communication, negotiation, and project management abilities.
- A knack for working under pressure and responding swiftly to emergencies.
- A willingness to accept on-call work requests.
