Sous Chef Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team in a 4-star hotel based in Tralee, Co. Kerry.
This role involves working closely with the Executive Head Chef to deliver exceptional dining experiences across all food departments and offerings. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and mentoring the kitchen staff, fostering a culture of creativity, excellence, and teamwork.
Job Description:
The Sous Chef will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring that high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety are maintained at all times. This includes managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements:
* At least 3 years' experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role within a culinary environment.
* Proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, high-standard environment.
* In-depth knowledge of various cuisines, food preparation techniques, and modern plating styles.
* Strong understanding of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP).
* Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts as needed.
Benefits:
* A competitive salary package of €42,000 – €45,000 per year depending on experience.
