We’re recruiting a Junior Power Systems Engineer on behalf of a semi-state-owned company. This role offers the opportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects, with comprehensive training and a flexible hybrid working model from our client’s office in Cork.

Responsibilities:
1. Power System Evaluation: Assess electrical distribution networks for efficiency and reliability using industry-standard tools (e.g., Synergi, PSS Sincal), considering renewable integration, flexible loads, and reinforcement strategies.
2. Customer Connection Handling: Manage grid connection requests in line with CRU guidelines, providing clear responses to inquiries.
3. Project Leadership: Lead planning and infrastructure projects from concept to delivery.
4. Technical Documentation: Prepare studies, financial evaluations, and technical submissions for capital investments.
5. Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain relationships with customers, developers, authorities, and interest groups.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
* 2-5 years’ engineering experience
* Strong technical skills and proven delivery
* Excellent communication and report writing
* Analytical and innovative problem-solving skills
* Full clean driving license
* Proficiency in power system analysis software (desirable)
* Experience in system planning, grid connection studies, power quality, policy development (advantageous but not essential)
