Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced
Procurement Supply Chain Manager
to join our dynamic team at a leading manufacturing company based in Tipperary. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain and procurement functions, ensuring seamless operations and cost-effective material sourcing. You will work closely with various departments, including production, logistics, and finance, to optimize supply chain performance and ensure a smooth flow of goods from suppliers to the production floor.

Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Supply Chain Management:

* Oversee the entire supply chain process, from the procurement of raw materials and components to product delivery.
* Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with the company's business goals.
* Manage inventory control, logistics, and distribution to ensure minimal stockouts and optimal warehouse management.
* Continuously improve supply chain processes for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.
* Collaborate with production and planning teams to forecast material requirements and ensure that supply meets production needs.
* Develop accurate demand forecasts and manage the flow of materials to avoid stockouts, overstocking, and production delays.

Procurement Management

* Lead the sourcing and procurement of materials, goods, and services for production, ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and on-time delivery.
* Establish strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favourable terms, pricing, and contracts.
* Maintain a thorough understanding of market trends and supplier capabilities to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
* Manage procurement budgeting, monitoring, and reporting to ensure alignment with overall financial goals.
* Develop and maintain long-term partnerships with key suppliers to secure favourable contracts and ensure a reliable supply of materials.
* Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to quality, lead times, and service levels.
* Conduct supplier evaluations, audits, and performance reviews to ensure they meet the company's standards.
* Ensure all procurement and supply chain activities are in compliance with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements.

Logistics Distribution Oversight

* Coordinate logistics activities, including inbound deliveries, warehousing, and outbound shipments.
* Optimize transportation methods and routes to minimize costs while ensuring timely deliveries.
* Work with logistics partners and internal teams to ensure the smooth flow of products from suppliers to the production facility and beyond.

Continuous Improvement Process Optimization

* Implement process improvements and technology solutions to enhance the efficiency of the supply chain and procurement operations.
* Drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining high levels of quality and service.
* Identify opportunities for automation and digitalization in supply chain operations to streamline workflows.

Required Qualifications Experience

* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A relevant professional certification (e.g., CIPS, APICS, etc.) is an advantage.

Experience

* At least 5 years of experience in supply chain management and procurement, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial or leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong experience in managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and leading procurement activities.
* Proven ability to manage inventory levels and logistics operations in a fast-paced environment.
* Familiarity with ERP systems and supply chain management software.
