Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled welder with proven experience in MIG welding and, ideally, additional welding processes. The successful candidate will be able to produce high-quality welds from fabrication drawings, contributing to the production of structural steel and aluminium balcony systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out high-quality MIG welding (MMA/TIG experience an advantage)
* Read and work from fabrication drawings to produce accurate assemblies
* Prepare, align, and weld steel components to specification
* Inspect and verify weld quality in line with company standards
* Operate workshop tools and equipment safely and effectively
* Maintain a clean and organised work area
* Collaborate with the fabrication team to meet production targets
* Follow health and safety regulations and company policies at all times
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven welding experience, preferably in a structural steel or fabrication workshop environment
* Strong MIG welding skills (MMA/TIG an advantage)
* Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings
* High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
* Manual Handling and relevant certifications are an advantage — training can be provided
* Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
* Valid driving licence an advantage
Schedule
* Monday–Thursday: 08:00–17:00
* Friday: 08:00–16:30
