Job Description:
Misty Croft, a company within the Daffodil Care Group, is hiring a Social Care Worker & Relief Social Care Workers for our residential services for separated children seeking international protection. Our centres are based in South Dublin.

Misty Croft was established to provide high-quality residential and ancillary services to young people seeking international protection. We are committed to working intensively with young people and support networks through a model of care centered on reflective practice.
We promote therapeutic child and youth care in a safe environment where the young person is at the center of all planning, activities, decisions, interventions, and reviews.
Separated children seeking international protection are under 18, outside their country of origin, and may need international protection. Many have experienced significant trauma and have high vulnerability.
As a Social Care Worker, you will be responsible for daily activities in the residential centre, working closely with the Social Care Team Leader and Manager to create a secure and nurturing environment, delivering high standards of therapeutic residential services.

A combination of shift patterns, including sleepover shifts and additional day shifts.
Qualifications & Experience
Applicants with social care qualifications at Level 6, 7, or 8 achieved in Ireland or internationally are encouraged to apply. Relevant qualifications include:
* QQI Level 8 in Psychology
* QQI Level 7 or Professional Practice in Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy, Counselling, Psychotherapy, Addiction Counselling, Youth and Community, Social Science, Family Support
* Professional Qualification in Teaching (excluding TEFL), Nursing Studies
* QQI Level 7 in Disability Studies, Early Years Care (for children under 12)
* BA in Applied Policing or equivalent
* Higher Certificate in Custodial Care (Irish Prison Service) or equivalent
Or, a QQI Level 6 qualification with at least 2 years’ experience working with children and young people in social care.
Essential skills include knowledge of child safeguarding, relevant legislation, report writing, and experience working with diverse backgrounds. A full Irish driving license is mandatory.
