Job description
Reporting to the Operations Manager, Food & Beverage Manager & Bar Manager.
The Food & Beverage Supervisor will supervise a friendly and efficient service to the hotel guests.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Ensure a good working knowledge of food, wine and cocktails. Be able to make recommendations.
* Ensure adequate stock in the bar and ensuring all back of house areas are kept clean and to standard
* Be friendly, courteous and professional at all times.
* Up-sell and maximize sales revenue whenever and wherever possible.
* Promote good team relations in F&B team ensuring fairness and consistency.
* Lead, support, inform and guide team members in all restaurant activities and operations.
* Carryout training of new F&B staff and ensure they complete the F&B SOP training daily
* Ensure all Cleaning checklists and Paperwork is in order and on file.
* In the absence of manager ensure all sections are allocated appropriately amongst the team.
* Support and assist team members in handling guest inquiries and requests and in resolving customer complaints.
* Ensure team compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standard.
* Seek ways to cut waste and decrease operational costs and ensure recycling is undertaken.
* Assist in driving and implementing company initiatives as assigned by management.
* Evaluate and highlight issues to management and make improvements accordingly.
Requirements:
* The ability to motivate, organise, lead and supervise a small team.
* Fluent English and excellent communication skills and ability to carry out briefings and meetings with the team.
* Flexibility with ability to work varying shift patterns
* Previous hotel experience in a 3/4-star hotel property is desired but not essential.
* Previous experience in a high volume/ fast paced environment.
* Must be able to multi-task and be willing to help out where required in all areas of the hotel.
* Must have excellent people skills and be extremely customer focused.
* Must be enthusiastic and a quick learner.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €30,000.00-€32,000.00 per year
