What will you do?
In this role, you will lead the technical design and delivery of Building Automation & Control Systems (BACS) projects covering HVAC, lighting, access control, fire/life safety interfaces, and energy management. You will act as the technical authority from award to commissioning, working closely with the Project Manager to ensure scope alignment and successful deployment.
* Define system architecture, sequences of operation, and network design (BACnet, Modbus, IP).
* Develop and validate control strategies for HVAC and integrated systems.
* Oversee engineering deliverables, configuration, and software functionality.
* Coordinate FAT/SAT, commissioning, and integration with mechanical, electrical, IT, and third-party systems.
* Manage technical risks, compliance with codes and cybersecurity standards.
* Review and approve documentation, drawings, and training materials for customer handover.
* Act as the primary technical contact for internal teams and customers throughout the project lifecycle.
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
* Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Control Systems Engineering.
* Licensed P.Eng. (Ontario) or Ing. (Quebec).
* 7+ years of experience in BACS design and commissioning; strong knowledge of HVAC strategies and protocols (BACnet, Modbus, IP).
* Familiarity with BMS/BAS software and AutoCAD/Visio.
* Valid driver's license and personal vehicle.
* Ability to travel up to 30% nationally.
* For Quebec-based candidates functional French is required.

The compensation range for this full-time position, which includes base pay and short-term incentive, is $88,800-$133,200 for candidates who are Ontario residents. Our salary ranges are determined by including roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
