Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the primary point of contact and coordinator for SME clients, overseeing a substantial portfolio of accounting and tax compliance services.
* Prepare financial statements (non-audit), corporate tax compliance, company secretarial compliance, payroll management, and VAT services.
* Supervise and manage staff workflow in the non-audit department.
* Provide high-level technical support to both staff and clients.
* Review and ensure quality of outputs/files and financial statements before issuance.
* Collaborate with existing clients to identify new business opportunities.
* Recognize and promote additional services to current clients.
* Ensure adherence to deadlines and budget constraints across all assignments.
* Assist with income tax compliance, including account preparation, return filing, client liaison, and filing process management.
* Drive learning, development, and training of all staff.
* Participate in staff performance reviews.
* Promote and enhance the range of services provided to clients.
Requirements & Qualifications:
* AAC-qualified or equivalent.
* At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in a practice environment.
* Proficient in applying accounting standards, particularly FRS102.
* Skilled in handling various tax areas, including Corporation Tax, PAYE, VAT, and others.
* Detailed oriented with a strong focus on accuracy in accounting tasks.
* Experienced in managing staff effectively.
* Proficient in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Bright, or other similar platforms.
