Lily & Wild has recently opened a new restaurant in Kildare, and we are now seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position with daytime hours – no late nights – offering the chance to play a key role in an exciting new chapter for our business.
About the Role
As Sous Chef, you'll work closely with the Head Chef to deliver exceptional food and ensure smooth kitchen operations in a fast-paced, high-standard environment. You'll support with menu development, lead the team, and maintain outstanding levels of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities include:
* Assisting with menu planning and execution.
* Managing stock, ordering, and food costing.
* Leading, training, and motivating the kitchen team.
* Maintaining exceptional food quality, speed, and hygiene standards.
* Collaborating with the wider Lily & Wild team to achieve business goals.
What We're Looking For
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a senior chef role.
* Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
* Strong knowledge of ingredients, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
* Proven ability with stock control, budgeting, and cost management.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
* A team player with a positive, proactive approach.
