THE ROLE A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join its Dublin team.
This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile, technically complex projects while supporting the development of junior engineers and contributing to high-quality design delivery.
You will be responsible for leading electrical design packages, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest technical and commercial standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Deliver electrical design from concept through to construction stage Design and coordinate LV, MV, and associated electrical systems Prepare detailed calculations, specifications, and technical reports Support and mentor junior engineers within the team Coordinate with mechanical, architectural, and external stakeholders Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations Attend client meetings, design reviews, and site visits Support project delivery to agreed timelines and budgets KEY PROJECTS You will contribute to a range of high-impact developments, including: Large-scale data centre projects power distribution, redundancy strategies, and coordination studies Commercial office developments modern, energy-efficient electrical design in prime city locations Healthcare / life sciences facilities critical systems design with high reliability and compliance requirements EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline 48+ years experience in building services or electrical design consultancy Strong experience in LV systems; MV experience advantageous Proven experience delivering designs across full project lifecycle Experience with software such as Amtech, Dialux/Relux, ETAP (advantageous) BIM/Revit experience desirable Chartership (or working towards) beneficial SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES Strong technical design capability and attention to detail Good understanding of building services coordination Ability to manage workload across multiple projects Effective communication and client-facing skills Proactive and collaborative approach to teamwork Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivery Commercial awareness and understanding of project constraints SALARY & BENEFITS Salary: €60,000 €80,000 (depending on experience) Performance-related bonus Pension contribution Private healthcare Hybrid and flexible working Generous annual leave Professional development and chartership support Opportunity to work on complex, high-value projects If you are a building services engineer, please send your CV to or call.
