Senior Grade Supervisor - Day Services Kanturk
Monday to Friday - 35 hours per week.
Job Goal: To implement an Adults Day Service Programme operating from Service Location in St. Joseph's Foundation.
To support service users to develop a range of occupational, educational, social and recreational skills with a view towards increasing their independence, knowledge and sense of achievement. The supervisor is responsible for planning, developing, implementing and reviewing the individualised programmes and associated work schedules within the department in consultation with team members and in line with the ethos of the Foundation.
General Duties: As the above is not an exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities, this job description may be revised from time to time to take account of any change in requirements of the position or any other duties as may be assigned by the Adults Day Services Manager.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements:
2-3 years supervisory experience in a similar environment; Intellectual Disability sector is preferred.
Experience working with people who have complex needs and a diagnosis of ASD.
Community based support experience.
Ability to develop and implement person-centred programmes.
Working knowledge of New Direction and the associated auditing framework.
Experience in education, day services is an advantage.
Excellent organisation and planning skills.
Ability to coordinate time tables, activities and plans based on the needs of people we support.
The successful candidate will, on occasion, be required to demonstrate flexibility in their hours of work to support people with social events.
