Barden have been engaged by a large PLC to recruit a Director/Senior Manager Technical Accounting, to join their high performing team, and will be responsible for providing technical accounting leadership, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting strategic business decisions with expert financial guidance
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior finance professional with a minimum of 6-10 years PQE, having worked in Technical Accounting type roles in a fast paced international environment.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
* Act as the
technical accounting authority
, advising on complex and non-routine transactions (e.g., acquisitions, restructurings, revenue arrangements).
* Develop, maintain, and communicate
global accounting policies and guidance
in line with IFRS/US GAAP.
* Assess, interpret, and implement the impact of
new and emerging accounting standards
.
* Partner with senior leadership on
M&A activity
, including due diligence, purchase accounting, and integration.
* Support the
preparation and review
of financial statements, ensuring compliance with disclosure requirements.
* Provide technical accounting training and support to
regional and functional finance teams
.
* Lead technical discussions and resolve accounting matters with
external auditors
.
* Collaborate with the wider finance function on
finance transformation initiatives
and system enhancements.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting expertise.
* 6 -10 years' post-qualified experience, with a significant portion in
technical accounting or audit
within a multinational or Big 4 environment.
* Proven experience in addressing complex accounting issues and preparing technical papers.
* Strong track record of working with senior stakeholders and external auditors.
